Eventually I'll update the first post as a "Bookmark" for topics in the thread. I just haven't had the time.
That would be awesome! 8) I'll probably do the same with my project thread eventually... Although it would probably look something like this:
Keith comes up with a plan Keith changes the plan Keith changes the plan again Keith changes the plan one last time Keith's plan is golden Keith takes his plan to the city and it sucks Keith changes the plan yet again ...etc...
We'll see how everything turns out! ;)
Just thought I'd bump this up to the forefront again. I've got more pictures I need to post in the next couple days. They've already been developed, just need to scan them in. BTW...had a great time driving across country. Had a blast in the SW. So, stay tuned... Aaron :D
I keep forgetting to bring in the photos to scan. But here's the latest. Since the cash flow is low, I'm back to the demolition phase. Started ripping out the old walls last night on the tracking room side. Might as well do something w/ my time and prep the other side of the basement for the tracking rooms. Now I'm just trying to decide if I want to make them 1 room or 2??? :D
OK, here we go. Got the pix scanned...let the fun begin...

OK, now for the electrical chase from the main panel to the sub panel, and various other electrical cables for the house. Just covering them up, w/ access for future needs...

OK, now we're getting the basement wall prep'd for new coat of Drylok. Scrubbed the walls w/ concrete etcher to remove the minerals off the block. And used the Fast Plug Hydrolic cement type stuff to seal the cracks in the foundation. Just bought 5 gallons of Drylok to paint on, but it may be another week or two before I have time to do it...

I've decided to edit this post for the time being. I'll repost the picture when the studio is complete, as I plan to incorporate everything in that picture into the studio construction. (Those of you who saw it, I hope you enjoyed.) :D
Considering the title of your thread and the location of your studio, maybe "Underworld Floaters"...
Thanks Sharward. Steve...yeah, I haven't a clue yet what to name this studio. As you noticed the temporary posting of it (since removed). I'm still trying to come up w/ a name so I can go get a business license.
SCORE!!!!!!!! I received a phone call yesterday from a prior coworker. He just bought a fixer upper, and the previous owner was in the process of building a studio. Had about 400 square feet of 2" wedge (12"x12") sheets. And what appears to be about a bolt and a half of fabric (2 different colors). Basically gave it to me. But he wanted $100 for it, or it was going in the trash. Sooooo... I just scored about $1500-$2000 worth of material!!!!! Alright, now all I need for the control room and iso room is the Glass for the windows, the wood for the trim, and the HVAC ducts run. SWEET!!!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
Ahhhh, to live in a place known as "Music City" -- there's a reason for that!! Congratulations -- hopefully it's not this crap though! --Keith
Well...actually... I found on the side of one of the boxes, the foam is from that company. But, that's the least of my worries, as I didn't plan to really use much of it, w/ the exception of a few minor places (not the CR), but maybe an iso room. The best deal, but I'm trying to find out what brand it is, is the fabric. The fabric sample cards I have from Guilford & Burch, don't match the fabric I got. I'll probably cut a corner of tonight and see what kind of flame spread I have w/ this stuff or if it's resistant to flame. What results should I expect from either of those products???
I performed a brief fire test on the fabric last night. It resists for a few seconds, then burns, and drips like nylon or polyester. :(
So, instead of congratulations, are we now offering condolences?
