I just realized I hadn't posted any pix recently. (not that I've done much the last few weeks).
A few weeks back, I filled in the hole w/ concrete. Rebuilt the wall for the bathroom, and leveled the floor. There are some additional pictures I haven't taken yet, but will try and maybe take some this weekend.
Here's the stuff from the week before the party. (about 3 weeks ago).
And actually there's more done than these pix show. I've since finished the plumbing (except installing the toilet...waiting on my new flooring).

Greetings all.
Things have been hectic lately, and I hadn't posted for over a month now. Hopefully this will change in the coming weeks. And I hope these recent health developments don't put a damper on things...but that's another story.
I have some updates. I finished laying the marble in the studio bathroom. Finally put in the grout last night. Will wait a couple days and then seal it.
Good news. Finished my first project in the studio. Tracked early this year (Feb./March). Been busy mixing the last few weeks, And just finished remixing the entire thing this last weekend. It goes to mastering and duplication this week. Yippie! They're very happy w/ the album. And they look forward to coming back to do some more.
Now if I can just finish this studio out, all will be great.
The biggest budget stuff is yet to come. HVAC ducts, Glass Windows, a few more doors, floors, ceiling, the Trim Out, and of course...acoustics.
I estimate probably another $10k+/- to finish it out.
There's the news.
:D
Congrats on the progress, Aaron!
What "health developments?" Please share if you wish... Or not... It's up to you (obviously).
Hey, some friends of ours are moving to the Nashville area in a few months, once they sell their home here. They're ready for a new environment: husband used to work for Tower Records' headquarters (R.I.P.) and his unemployment just ran out, so he's hoping to stay in teh music biz. Wife's a barista at the ubiquitous Starbucks, so she'll have no trouble. Teen daughter likely to have major culture shock. Yet another California family refugee.

Thanks Keith.Congrats on the progress, Aaron!
Lots of pain in my left abdomin. It's been coming and going since about Sept/Oct. last year, but the last 3-4 weeks, it's been miserable. The docs got me back on pain stuff again. (Man, I'm sick of pills). The CT scan came back as normal. Blood work shows a couple things abnormal. Pancreas to be exact. Not enough enzymes for digestion. But I've been on this medication for nearly 2 weeks now, and not much difference, and still pain, so I think there's something else going on. I have a gut feeling I may end up under the knife. But that's hopefully a last resort. What "health developments?" Please share if you wish... Or not... It's up to you (obviously).
Have 'em look me up if they want. Teen daughter...culture shock...THAT'S AN UNDERSTATEMENT! When I moved hear 10 years ago from Seattle, I literally felt I was in another country. No kidding. I love it now, but it took about a year and a half, maybe two, to really fully adapt. It is a culture shock coming from the west coast. :lol:Hey, some friends of ours are moving to the Nashville area in a few months, once they sell their home here. Ugh. So sorry you're going through that, Aaron. The "not knowing" has to be so frustrating. Hang in there.

Thanks Keith.
I may be in some pain, but I'm not depressed or anything. A little irritated and cranky at times, but all in all, I'm still able to go about my day for pretty much everything.
Now that this first recording project is done...It's time to get back to construction mode. I hope to be posting more pix soon. I have a few I hadn't posted yet, so I may put them up in the next day or two.
:D
OK,
Here's a few over due pix I took back in April, working on the studio bathroom...
Here, I've decided to put down concrete board to help w/ leveling the floor a little more...
Here, I dry fit all the pieces first, and cut them as needed...
And here's the floor mortared in...
I finally put in the grout on Monday night, but hadn't taken pictures yet. I'll take some this weekend and show the finished tile work.
Enjoy the new pix. :D
Hey... &ren't floors typically installed after drywall and cabinetry?
I suppose I should install the toilet first too...
Hey Sharward. I was in a sarcastic mood the other day.
Actually, I've been contemplating whether or not to do drywall or tile. If I do tile, I'll have to put up more concrete board on the walls. I just haven't made up my mind yet.
All my other floors are being done that way though. Walls and ceilings first, then floors.
The sink that is going back into the bathroom is a pedistal type sink. That's about all the room I have for that spot, and still get to the toilet. A cabinet will not fit well there.
I just need to finish up the electrical in there and terminate. Install some new lights. Insulate and drywall the ceiling. Then either drywall and/or tile the walls.
I hope everyone is doing well.
Aaron
Well, after 40+ hours of waiting, my new iphone is now active. This is my first post with it. :)
Congratulations, Aaron!
But, um, I've been posting here via my Treo 650 for over a year! ;-)
--Keith
yeah I know. But, I'm just now getting on the mobile bandwagon. :)
I have a Treo 650 too! Love it!
I dunno... Apple getting into the cell phone business makes sense and I'm glad for them. I have a friend who works for Apple and has been in training for weeks to support the new device.
From what I've seen (the TV commercials), it's a pretty impressive interface.
But, OMG -- to camp out for days for it??
(I'm referring to the nuts, Aaron -- not you! :-))
I guess I just don't really get it... I have essentially all the same basic functions on my Treo 650... Granted, not as fancy, and not tied into iTunes...
I just think the hype is misplaced.
Maybe I'll change my mind once I get one in my hand to play around with it. :-)
--Keith
I was only in line for maybe 10 minutes. I spent more time looking in the store at other stuff than in line.
Ahh, that's why you're not a nut, Aaron. :-)
Greetings All...
Well, I've worked on a few things since my last post, but don't have pix at the moment. Using a new computer at work, so I don't have the graphics program installed yet to resize the pix.
I built a new half wall in the entry area next to the stairs. In the process of rebuilding part of the stairs w/ new Oak Steps.
I've put 2 coats of sealant on the marble floor in the bathroom. Need to put one more on at least.
Been side tracked on another project lately. Resanding and sealing my deck outside before I loose it to weather. Just started it last weekend, and have a long ways to go.
 Looks like I'm going to cross over the 1/4 million view mark today after this post.
Looks like I'm due for a posting here. :D
Well, I've been the busiest I've ever been w/ the day job, so I haven't had much time to do anything else. But, this weekend I got a break from it all, the weather was nice, and I took serious advantage of it.
I have a session coming up in November, so I'm back to trying to get the bathroom finished off to a usable manner. Installed a fart fan & light, some outlets, another light, and all sorts of wiring. Almost finished up with it. Maybe one evening this week, I'll have some live juice in there. Then it's time to insulate and drywall. 8)
Last weekend, I also finally got around to filling the concrete back in where I dug out for the sewer line. So I'm slowly progressing forward again now that the triple digit temps have subsided.
That's all for now...
It's about time you get yer job done ;)
So euh, installed that GFX resize prog already? We'r anxiously awaiting them pix. (did you know MS office comes with "photo editor" onboard?)
My God! Finally some new posts here! I've missed the pics Aaron!
