Stan, where did your post go you just posted?
No updates. Just popping in to say Howdy. :D If time permits this weekend, I may fill the new frames w/ 703 and hang some more fabric. I'm finally taking the plunge and getting high speed internet at the house this weekend. So I'll be online a little more frequently again. Then I can post pictures right away as I finish stuff up. :D
OK... I'm finally online here at the house. :D Been busy running cable and connecting all the cables for internet, and all looks good...
Cool; high speed, as in "DSL", or "real" high speed, as in "cable"?? STeve
...or real REAL high speed, as in fiberoptic directly into your garage? Oh, sorry -- the rest of you aren't as lucky as I am!
dslreports.com speed test result on 2006-06-25 12:00:47 EST: 16591 / 14153 Your download speed : 16591 kbps or 2073.8 KB/sec. That is 133.7% better than an average user on surewest.net Your upload speed : 14153 kbps or 1769.1 KB/sec. That is 121% better than an average user on surewest.net
Yes, this is real. (Proof) --Keith

Keith, If you don't mind me asking, :D how much do you pay a month for those speeds?
I bet it's not 21 TIMES what I pay for DSL...

Cable. 6MB connection. It's running anywhere between 3mb-9mb download. Upload is around 600+ kb. Also, had a friend of mine stop by. We loaded a fresh copy of OSX Tiger (10.4?) and all the updates. It's nice to use my mac again... :D

About $50 per month (a la carte -- it would be cheaper if I bundled phone and/or TV service). But I get reimbursed for 100% of it through my employer. 8) There was no cost to me to install (although it cost them a pretty penny as they had to bore a conduit underground)...

...I just had to commit to at least a year of service. When my year was up, I got them to up my speed to 20Mbps/20Mbps for the same price if I committed to another year. :D --Keith
Alright, here's a little more work done yesterday. Covered up some of the 703 frames in the control room, and started one corner in the other soundlock...

Bite Knightfly...again! :-) len
that BEAST isn't even looking at the one he attacks..is it yours sherwood? :P  a
It's "Sharward"... And no, it's an image I stole off the 'Net. ;-)
So you have fiber running direct to your location???? Hmmm I need that. At 50/Month, thats peanuts. Geezz O Pete... I remember when looking at a DS3 line 3 years ago was gonna cost me 500/month. Prices have really come down. And they would have to install an interface on the pole just for my services. LOL.
Bear in mind that my fiber connection is provided by a company that competes with both the incumbent telephone company and the cable company. For the record, I bite everyone. (I'm just being proactive!) Of course, when my house is under 26 feet of water (i.e., roof totally submerged) due to levee failure, I'm sure the fiberoptic connection won't work very well. (And neither will my room -- although it will probably take on the water the slowest of all the rooms...) But I digress. --Keith
Update: Just finished the 703 & fabric on the walls in the other soundlock. Finished another section on the left side of the control w/ 703 & Fabric. This is great being online at home. Just don't have much time to surf w/ all this work...
...and ofcourse u took picture to proof you actually did
Yep. I'll post them sometime today.
OK, here's the pix of the work over the weekend...
