So... I laid parquet with my friend, I still don't have inner acoustics, waiting for 20 absorbers, diffusors, etc... ... but I move few things from my old place... what a mess

Is it my imagination, or did you just cut large holes in your inner leaf ceiling, and install recessed light fittings in them?
Hi there. So... some absorbers are finished and I started to cover early reflection zone. Superchunks and diffusors are not finished yet, but hopefuly I start to build them soon... these things take a lot of time :shot:

Mike the place looks fabulous! Even with red walls. But you make me think. Knowing that sound is like air filling a balloon, goes up-down-and-out all at the same time, I am curious why your panels only cover 50 percent of the wall? And don't even get me started on the knee high corner traps :) I know you have an answer, so I thank you for your time you took making all this possible for my viewing. Good luck, Brien
Place, Equipment, Bass Traps. Everything looks very Neat. Congrats on the almost done new place. Im sure ur gonna have some great times mixing in their. A little off topic mabe but do u make mostly electronic music ? If yes is there somewhre i can listen to some of your work. Cheers
Hey xSpace... Thanks, I'm glad you like it ;) Well I'll have arround 30 of these... so I just mount 6 of them on the left and right wall for a start to spend some, because I have a full room of freakin bass traps  Today I finished the ceiling and start with the front wall. These panels will also be mounted in all corners like Realtraps on this 2 pictures...

Thanks Ganeshaa. Electronica (Techno, Tech-house, minimal) mostly and hip-hop for some friends and fun. Working on a new web page so I can give you only unmastered clip from what I'm doing right now http://www.tenovis.si/mikevale/mike_vale_clip.mp3 M.

did you miss Soundman's question about the recessed lighting in your inner leaf?

I forgot to answer that one... sorry. If you don't cut holes in your leaf than you can't istall lights like these don't you think? So my inner leaf is 5cm thick but we modify these lights and we cut only 2,5 cm to fit lights in and a little hole for the electricity. So I still have 2,5cm of inner leaf left and everything is still air tight if you were worried about this  I hope I answered your question. Regards. M.
Hi Mike, First off, gotta say your room looks very nice. But as far as the lights go, in most cases the lighting is installed in the clouds or false ceiling. By cutting any kind of hole in your inner leaf you are compromising your isolation. think of sound waves like water. There only needs to be a small crack for you to have a leak. What did you do to the small holes that you cut for the wiring to insure that your room is still airtight? Bryon
Thank you very much drthump70. Well you need to get electricity in the room right? 0,5 - 1 cm hole for the electricity cable (which is closed with the cable and sealed around that cable btw) doesnt ruin anything... like I said my inner leaf is 5cm thick - 12,7mm drywall, 22mm particle board, 15mm drywal... and I still got left 2,5cm covered with modified lights. 2 friends of mine (mastering engeenirs), 2 diferent mastering studios, same system... God bless holes and The Master Handbook Of Acoustics from F. Alton Everest  Regards, M.

I'm not so sure that I would agree with that statement. Any time you cut a hole in the wall it will have some effect, AFAIK. - Stuart -
Just curious as always. If that really isnt the right way to get the wires into the room for the lighting then wht is ? I know that i ran my cable ducts for electricity embedded inside my concrete floor. But i will also need to run cables from one room to another as i want to put my PC in an adjoining room. SO how do i go about getting the cables through without cutting a hole (even if i needed to cut a whole through a brick and plaster wall what would be the right way ?) I hope it doesn sound like im trying to take over the thread but im sure the info would benefit all of us including the OP. Thank you
I am also wondering... how? Btw., cloud is up, front wall is also comming together. My father helped me out...
