not sure where i should post this. . .
as i get near the end of my studio build, i'm unsure in a few areas. . .the foremost at the moment being a chair.
here's my build for any interested:

i read in another post about some $1000 chair, but thats ridiculous.
anyone have any firsthand thoughts on a good engineering chair for, let's say $100-$300? even $400 if it makes the coffee for me.
the most important factor to me is SILENCE
second is comfort.
a preference to me would be a chair with NO ARMS as my CR and live room are the same, i will be rolling from my computer to my acoustic guitar spot in the same chair. . . and i'm sure many of you know how annoying it is to play guitar in a chair with big armrests.
what's everyones thoughts?
quiet chairs anyone?

All I can pull from my memory is that Steve (Knightly) wrote somewhere about a quiet comfy chair he owns.

Miller Chairs, I think Steve referred to:

These chairs are not $1,000.
In the post I can't find I remember Steve saying he spent around $600 on his chair. Maybe you want to PM Steve or wait for someone else to post.
Only I know is I went from a "2 hour secretary" to a "8 hour nice chair" and I can't go back. It was $250 from office depot, makes a little noise that I can currently live with and has leather arms that I like & do not get in the way of my guitar playing.

A good studio chair is one of the best investments you can make. I find it funny that people will think nothing of spending mondo dollars on a new microphone, computer plug-ins, etc.. but yet they will sit all day on a $100.00 chair from Staples. The Herman Miller Aeron chairs are outstanding. They can be had for between $550 and $700 on Ebay. After 12 hours of sitting in one of those puppies your back and legs will thank you. Worth every seingle penny.
And forgot to mention, one of these The Herman Miller Aeron chairs (or equivalent if there is one) is on my "to buy eventually" list.
