A bit simpler way: scribe a line along the outer edge of the "picture frame", remove the frame, glue/clamp wider boards to the INSIDE of the hole in the soffit, then glue or screw the picture frame to these "backer" boards. End result looks almost identical, no routing required - only an ACCURATE cut along the scribed lines... Steve

Updated Pic - (still need to fix the speaker frames)
Aloha,
Looks like you got a new console. though its a little hard to make out the model. Any chance you might clarify, please? Looks like it was a bit of a challenge manuvering it in there, as was the case with mine.
Overall, how are the improvements sounding, and how are your mixes translating room to room?

It's a Trident 80 Series.
It fit in the room fairly easily actually. It looks a lot tighter in the pic than it is. It's actually about 8" narrower than my previous desk.
Mixes are translating VERY well with the new room! :)
Aloha,
I thought it might be, but it was hard to tell from the pic. Nice upgrade! Very happy to hear that your mixes are translating well, too. Aloha 8)It's a Trident 80 Series.
