Nope; read the drawings again - the lower half of the angled board is your wall-mounted rail, so gravity would pull the upper half (mounted to the trap) down and against the wall... Steve
thank you you made me decide what kind of trap to use i was goin to spend way more cash then i needed to thanks but... i just have to ask what did you put behind the corner trap? is there a wood board? or are the 2x2 holding the 703 from falling down or back? also i thought that 703 need to be able to move freely, so wouldnt the burlap get in its way?

The screws I used were "Grip Rite" Trim Head Square Drive screws. Once you use Square drive screws you won't go back to Phillips Head
Amen, brother! 8) I second that!
Invented by a Canadian, of course!
Just like R-Dox nails! (the nails with the twist in them, Canadian Invention)... I think they're called r-dox. r-dax? are-docs? R-Doughcks?
Hi, just tried to make one of these panels with a size of 24"x48" and it worked out great! Only problem is it was very pricy. Two 1x4x8' pine wood boards cost me some 17 dollars and change! Was it so cheap for you because it was nearly 3 years ago? I will have to buy a big plywood board and have it cut to size for the rest of the frames.
Hello, I live in toronto and I can't seem to find Owens corning 705 or 703. Does anyone know where I can get some without ordering it, or alternatives?

http://www.atsacoustics.com/item--ATS-A ... --AB2.html That's what I intend to order next week. Maybe you could search for that as an alternative? You may be stuck ordering online... Also, hello to the forum! I'm working my way through the rules section so I can tap into the knowledge base soon.
The last time I looked into this it was a builders supply in Mississauga that sold it. I can't recall the name off hand. Edit: Found it. I guess it was pretty obvious in my thinking of it too. ;>) http://www.builderssupplies.ca/
I removed the spam Xspace was remarking to.
I should leave that stuff alone....I know :)
Yeah, but sometimes it is hard to resist! Speaking of which, John, is there any chance you can make it harder for the spammers of this world to gain access to the forum? There seem to have been quite a few of them lately, and it really is annoying.
What is the difference between these type absorbers and the "superchunk" absorbers. Is there a benefit to either one? The superchunks seem easier to build but are likely more expensive because of the greater amount of insulation required. Thoughts?
