a couple of pics of smaller room located in the center just need to finish painting, sweeping clean the floor and then the carpet I have multi snake cables and speaker cables installed from control to both studio rooms .the speaker cables are for guitar and bass cabs with seprate heads so the player can be in control room as an option. Also great for me when recording and playing electric guit/bass by myself. I still need to buy cat5 cable and install it for the 6 channel furman hds-6 headphone system.

Awww, man, that's terrible. :( What happened? Finances got in the way? Noise was a problem? Enquiring minds...... --Keith :mrgreen:Ok now first off the studio was shut down after all that work . it was never totally completed . . .
The finance partner spent his money to fast and at the time of promoting
he got cold feet and maybe ran out of prosac also. so it was shut down and I grabbed my gear and came home with it. The deal was simple I use my recording gear and split the rent and overhead cost and he put in money for build and promo. well with the mind change and strange personalaty I was not to sad to let it go,but it was sounding good and thats more experiance for myself.
Wow, what an exercise... At least you didn't losw much (any?) capital in the process.
Quite an education, I'll bet, eh?
What lessons did you learn? Do share...
First of all this forum really rocks! its a real blessing.
.The thing that was most difficult was that I built the frame of the
walls with angles and the control room was a challenge.
But if their is a next time for a build like that it will
be easier for me to build even rooms, that is
rectangles and squares and then angle the walls with slatted walls .
another thing Install your glassframes and door frames before
putting up your drywall much easier. I did that on a couple of things and struggled .
Another thing is I dont think prosac is all that good. People who are on that medication
dont seem to dependable .and just because someone has money it does'nt mean they
have good buisness sence. This studio was good enough for buisness but was never promoted
like promised and so all that came in was bands that I knew and that was not enough .
Glad I still have my casual job at the docks.
Ruben - as a viewer here, I can add that I've gotten benefit from your build even nearly a full year later. So thanks for your contribution with the work you did. and yeah, prosac sucks. that drug and its ilk are the most prescribed medication in the US. people have to realize that life is good and bad and we can learn from both.First of all this forum really rocks! its a real blessing. .The thing that was most difficult was that I built the frame of the walls with angles and the control room was a challenge.
