Since the first of the year 03' I closed down my home business (I went to work for one of my customers), and now have a detatched building apprx. 24'x28' that I plan on building my recording studio in. It is on the rear half of my 1/2 acre property about 200ft. or more form neighboring houses.
I have done a number of drawings on a program called Punch Home Design that I had before I found this site (I downloaded Smartdraw and
couldn't figure it out fast enough, Punch is way easier for me for now) and hopefully I will be able to figure out how to attach the file to this thread.
For budget reasons
There are actually four 6X3ft windows existing nice view outside which I would like to keep some enjoyment of outside environment available but can alter to whatever works best not crucial.
If I set up my recording rig/equipment in the larger part of the room I'm sure I'll still have to do the treatment to the rest of the room, but anyway I'm just trying to get a space outside of the house more isolated and conductive to creating/recording and as budge allows to do another part of the studio. It's a shame to have this type of space available and not do something with it even at a room by room basis.
So many questions
Anyhow sorry for the long post and thanks to anyone who may have suggestions or questions.
We'll see if my drawing of the whole studio design on Punch Pgm attaches and I did'nt get around to add any dimentions as I just figured out how to export the file from one computer to this computer for the internet.
sincerely, Brian
