I know it may be asking a lot... I need: -live drum recording room -iso booth -mixing area Can this be done? 9' 2" x 18' 2"

do they need to be all done at the same time? the fact you have two dimensions related means you're likely to have some strong room modes. otherwise its a small space which maybe you can cut in half and make one side the mix and one side the isolation booth for drums or vox.
I was just hoping to get some ideas on how to lay it all out. 3 rooms might be too much- I agree.

Why not combine the drum and mix rooms? A combined room will have several benefits like easier communication and a less claustrophobic atmosfear! Bigger is better...IMHO ...and you still have the iso-booth. HOOK
I agree. I'd set up a vocal/iso booth, maybe a small iso for computers/ noise makers, and the balance as one large tracking / mixing room.
That was my first idea- maybe I should go with my first instinct. Here's a room I found on www.wsdg.com that I like a lot. Looks sweet, huh? My ceilings won't be as high though....

if you can go with the single room, thats probably your best bet.

Thanks Gulfo
i got an all in one room, with the exception of an iso/vocal booth. if you can get used to recording this way, it's really a great solution for rooms our size. http://www.johnlsayers.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=8205 thats my build, almost done. i did some easy to build slot resonators to get my walls angled. . .i saw your other post on this.
Thanks dynamike
