I found some links to silencers for duct lines. I've also seen on here where you can build a silencer "box", but I don't have that kind of room. Anyone have any experience as to whether these "silencers" work and if they're worth it?
There is a pic below, but here are the links for the silencers...

I also included a pic of where I want to put the silencers and a pic of the dimensions from the air handler etc. I have NO access to the supply trunk, but do have access where the flexduct lines branch off the trunk.
Thanx!
Are these worth it? Do they "REALLY" do the job?

Cami, They sure do work.......... and in an amazing way - but you pay for that technology through the nose. They're extremely efficient - but also quite costly. If you are at one end of those talking normally - and a friend of yours has his ear up to the other end - to him you're whispering........ and he's only a foot and a half from you........... Is that working good enough? Sincerely, RodI found some links to silencers for duct lines. I've also seen on here where you can build a silencer "box", but I don't have that kind of room. Are they effective in the low end though?
If they are... Maybe I'll have to price them. I'm planning to build thick, beefy silencers, but that's one aspect of my build that I'm really not looking forward to... ...There will be a lot of carpentry involved, and I don't really have the ideal tools for that kind of work around here...

Maybe some large car, or rather, truck mufflers/resonators can approach the same effect.... and cheaper?
