OK,
We're getting close to finishing up the framing. It's been so crazy with everything else, I'm just now getting back to working on it some piece by piece. So, here's a couple more pix... BTW, the "Tracking" rooms, I have more or less completed the framing except a few support brackets. Then I'll add the hat channel on the back sides to hold the insulation in, finish up the conduits, and we'll be ready for insulation.

Hey, nice Roxul AFB tables you've got there! ;-)
In all seriousness, lookin' good!! 8)

Thanks.
Still got a long ways to go though. I've got few side projects coming up, so maybe I'll have a little extra cabbage to buy some more materials again. I've got one studio to wire up here locally.
I'd like to get as much done before my party in April. Maybe have at least most of the insulation done. Possibly a first layer of drywall?? We'll see how it goes. I have a lot to do yet. Run electrical for lighting, conduits for the outlets, etc. Now that I've got walls, I'm running out of space to put stuff. I have to move a ton of stuff, just to do one project in one area.
Alright, got a little done amidst everything else this weekend. Got most of one wall insulated in one tracking room. Finished the low voltage conduits to the second tracking room. Now it's time to do electrical conduits for the tracking rooms, and prepare the second tracking room for insulation...
I've also attached the example picture of decoupling the conduits between rooms...
Well, I guess not. It won't let me upload any pictures...
OK, let's try posting these pix now...
Hard to tell from the pix, are those custom fabs or off-the-shelf items? Steve

Who you talking to here steve? Did you post on the wrong thread?Keith, your thread started about 425 days ago, averages out to around 107 hits/day - POSER...
Don't mind him, Aaron -- that's just Steve padding his post count.

Greetings everyone,
In light of some recent events w/ my current employer of 8 years, I am now actively seeking a new gig. If anyone knows of something, let me know. Preferably in the technical or audio fields.
Which also means, I may not be on this site as much for the time being, but we'll see what happens.

Aaron, may I be the first to say how sorry I am to hear that news... :-( I can only imagine what you must be going through.
Hang in there brother...
I'm still employed, but for how long...??? I've had enough of this place though.
Oh, well that's better... But still, I know the feeling of being at a place you don't want to be.
Been there, not fun; I hope you can find something less obnoxious soon. We didn't talk about it much, but I got the impression you were into IT pretty heavy; maybe something along those lines? (not that it'd be as much fun as touring with a girl-band or something...)
The "poser" comments was just me teasing Keith - Keithers, I only WISH I needed to pad my post count... :?
Oh I know Steve -- I smiled when I read your "poser" comment, and I was just givin' some back to you. ;-) Don't worry -- you're still my favorite. 8)
I'll try and post some updated pix today. With all the BS going on lately, I'm kicking it into high gear to hammer this thing out as quickly as possible. The framing for the second tracking room is 100% complete. I finished up putting some hat channel on the back of the framing to help hold the insulation. Mounted the electrical duplex boxes last night as well. I'll run conduits tonight and get them wrapped up. Now I just need to figure out where I'm putting lighting and the dimmer boxes so I can run electrical for them.
My plan...have the electrical conduits finished by the end of the weekend, and maybe the electrical for lighting.
Good idea about getting the place usable; my Q was about the isolators on your conduits; can't quite see 'em well enough to tell exactly what you did... Steve
Are you referring to what I used to attach them to the studs, or where the conduits come together (or should I say spaced apart about 1/4" or 1/8")?
I just left a space between the two conduits between the walls. I'll probably just use a piece of tape or something around the gap.
OK, I saw something that looked like black rubber and wondered if you'd used some of those flex couplers they sometimes use on ABS sewer/vent pipes - looked closer and realized that must be your isolation from framing... Steve
Actually, more than anything, it's for 1: to reduce any vibration; 2: the clamps were a bit oversized, so I used some 1/4" rubber just on the clamp side.

OK, I've decided to add the studio name to the title of the thread. It's official. I picked up the biz license a couple weeks ago.
Here's some other pix of the recent developments...
I got busy this weekend.
The picture above, (I'll post new one's later...forgot the cam) the conduits are done in the second tracking room. The back wall where the window is, is now insulated and RC on the studs. Installed a temporary light in the mech. room. Installed 2 boxes for the dimmers in the main tracking room and ran most of the electrical for the lighting in the main tracking room.
Just need to finish up the wiring for the lighting in the second tracking room, install the ceiling boxes for all the lighting in both tracking rooms, then it'll be time for insulation.
I'm getting closer... :D :D :D
