hey hey hey! Somebody's quick on building walls. WOW. It looks great. However, (I haven't really read your previous threads, so I dunno you exact goals) What's with the steel, hand welded!, frame? Would u be better of with standard metalstuds? (looks cheaper to me). Metalstuds also are a bit more "flexible" than your frame (mass and flexibility make a better iso wall) The double wall is really just one wall. Or at least the frame. With two really separated frames you'd gain much more TL. There's no kit used for sealing up ? One layer of MDF? How thick? Again, dunno your plans and goals but I see many flaws in those walls. Maybe you don't care, than it's alright and a very nifty job indeed :) cheerio
hello ro thanks for your post :), my goals are well simple, to have a space to record voices and some instruments, my drum for example, besides to improve the look of the room. Yes, metalstuds are a bit more "flexible" than the steel but herre in Venezuela is more more expensive and my budget was very fit. [/quote]There's no kit used for sealing up ?
now I go to that aspect, I could obtain an acoustic material for you seal those areas
One layer of MDF? How thick?
Yes , ona layer of 10mm Of course that exists many flaws in the walls but with the budget and the availability of materials in my country which you see are the best thing for the goals than I look for. I makes some tests, remember that I am in a building in floor 15, and I am well isolated of the single outside. I needs to solve some details in studio and soon to Record!!!! soon tyou listened to some things recorded in the room and I also hope to listen to all your commentaries :)
