I would like to make some acoustic hangers for above the control ceiling and behind the control room back wall. What kind of insulation is used for the contruction of acoustic hangers? Thanks!

Lip - what do you mean by "hangers" - are you actually talking about the mechanical gizmos that support things and isolates those things from other areas? For example - an acoustic hanger can be used to hang a fan unit so that the vibration of the fan is not transferred back into the structural member that is supporting it. Is that what you're referring to ? Rod
Hmm, I thought he was talking about when several panels of fiberglass, sometimes wrapped in plastic, are hung above the false ceiling (or behind the control room back wall) all in a row, about 8" apart or so. Of course, I don't actually know how to ANSWER the question, but I think that's what the question actually is.
