Aloha Kendale, and G'day Knightfly, Here's where I'm upto... I've finished all the main building work.. just have to put sealant in the gap I have made in the bottom of the drywall. I have also built these things you see in the pictures below. I will fill the space up with Rockwool and leave a bit of air space behind the rockwool. I am hoping that these would work as effective bass traps in the corners of the room. The width of the panels are about 68cm (26.77"), and the front of them will be covered in a material called "heshen" which is similar to burlap as in it is a loose weave material. Any further advice or critique is most welcome. Regards!

*bump* sorry to bump this thread, but i have the carpet being laid tomorrow and need to find out about any dirtywork that needs to be done now as it's the 'last minute' cheers guys.
Aloha, Sorry, didn't mean to leave you hanging. :( Were you still planning a rear wall absorber? Or does that go in after the carpet? Speaking of which, how much are you planning on carpeting? Aloha 8)

G'day!! Yeah I will do the rear panel thing. I will do that as something which hangs up, the basstrap construction involves most of the dirty work (i.e. chipping into walls etc..) If those things I showed in the picture, with rockwool blocks stacked in there upto the ceiling will work fine, then I'm all good. The room has now been painted and I'm about to seal off the basstraps with the fabric in the next day or two. Overall things are nice, just wish that there weren't so many little things to do. Aloha!
Aloha, So how's the room sounding now that the carpet is in? :D Any more progress & pics? (I've got to wait till the end of the week before moving on to the next phase. :( ) Aloha 8)

Aloha! Thanks mate, really owe you a beer for some of the help you gave me. Just having a person who understands these things to bounce a couple of ideas around with made such a huge difference to my decaying morale during the construction of this joint. There's two more rooms which i'm just getting to work on now with decorating, so I will be sure to keep you updated. Thanks again mr Dale.
