Hi, everybody! I meet a friend in a spanish forum and he posts some pics of his studio construction, the company charges him about 11,500 $ for isolation, electric wiring, window, and door. I don't know that exactly but I try to ask my firend: this is the first pics: 1.- The room http://www.hispasonic.com/Journal+index ... d-730.html 2.- floor: A ply of "impactodan" (http://portal.danosa.com/danosa/CMSServ ... g=2&site=4) then a ply of 40 mm of 150 kg/m3 rockwool with plastic over and metal mesh with 50 mm of concrete. http://www.hispasonic.com/Journal+index ... d-731.html http://www.hispasonic.com/Journal+index ... d-734.html 3.- ceiling first the drill some thread sticks to the concrete joists. then the drill "silent-blocks" to this sticks and hang the steel ceiling studs: http://www.hispasonic.com/Journal+index ... d-738.html then rockwool 40 kg/m3.Look at the "Impactodan" on the ceiling/wall joints. http://www.hispasonic.com/Journal+index ... d-739.html

it's all right?? no mistakes?? No answers??
So, the brickwall with rockwool and sheetrock both sides are better than only rockwool/sheetrock on steel framing?
I think this isolation is quite well for external sounds, but between control and recording rooms perhaps they must do 2 separated rooms instead of isolate the perimeter and then build a brick wall with rockwool sheetrock both sides pasted.
