I have started a build thread here: http://www.johnlsayers.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=15295 I have 2 layers of 5/8" drywall and Green Glue on the ceiling and 3 walls (waiting for builder to finish 4th wall) and I am now ready to complete the design stage.

This will be a recording and mix room with drum/iso room and small vocal booth. Using this for acoustic and small band projects - 1 to 5 musicians. I have 10' ceilings and I am building a room inside a room with speakers in wall and bass trapping behind. Also small cable closets in these areas. The ceiling in the vocal booth and rear closet will be lower to allow that space for more bass trapping. Looking at doing the slat walls in the main studio area. These dimensions are for my inside room. If you see any problems let me know. Thanks

nice space! on the front of the CR, i would extend the sides as angled slats to past the mix position. this will help in the effort to create an RFZ along with the requisite clouds on the overhead. are the other musicians perform in the CR which is why the dividing wall @ 16'3"?
Sorry I didn't mark the blue line in the 2d drawing. It is the beam that you can see in the back view photo. the ceiling of my inside room will dip under it and not touch it. Good idea on the side walls. I was going to do the slat walls on both sides of the main room. Now I will angle the first 8' or so. thanks
