Hey everyone, First off here's my construction thread: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=11321&start=60 I'm doing a basic design of a wooden frame with glass in the middle. I've posted the picture that inspired this below and also another pic where you can see the actual doors. Ok! So I'm having a bit of a problem with the doors... :? They are warped, thus they are not going to be air tight. So I am searching for ways to remedy this. Something I've found is a diagonal bracer that is placed on the door. I've placed a pic I found below. I don't know what it's called exactly, cause I've searched a lot and didn't find somewhere I can buy it from. The problem with this is that this will obstruct my view towards the live room. Also it destroys the image of a neat geometric door... yak! I didn't have much luck with my search not even in this forum, so I thought I'd post it here. The only thing I could think of is perhaps a rectangular metal frame screwed ontop of the door, that will hold the door from ever warping again. Don't know if this is going to work though... Open to your suggestions and words of wisdom. Thank you, Vakis

basically it is a couple of threaded rods into a turnbuckle which is used (after it is fastened) to apply the pressure needed to square up the door. perhaps it is painted flat black it won't be so obtrusive but due to the door warping, it does not sound like you have many options. perhaps returning the doors?
The doors have been made by the woodworker that made the basic construction of the studio. After 6 months of abscence.. he "magically" reapeered to finish the doors and windows... So basically now I'm trying to find a solution with him, he's the one that made them. If I beef up the doors with extra wood will that perhaps fix the problem? Maby put a metal sheet between them, or something? Do you happen to know if the bracer is sold anywhere as a set? Or do I have to buy each part seperately? Thanks for your reply Glenn.
Any other opinions guys?
