Studio Layout

I am starting to think seriously about moving my studio out of a spare bedroom into a space in the basement. The overall space that I have is quite limited, just 16'x18'. In that space I'd like to carve out a control room, and a tracking room. I have experimented a little with various configurations on paper, and have come up with the configuration below. I would appreciate any advice or input that may be offered. I also have a couple of questions. 1. Would the control room be better acoustically if I made it symetrical? 2. Where and what room treatments should be added in both rooms for acoustical improvement? Bear in mind that space is a limiting factor.
