PROGRESS ON SITE: None. and here's why.......
Well, the last few weeks have been fairly disastrous. Cumbria [UK] was hit by the worst rainfall ever on record and our town Cockermouth, was flooded totally. We never got flooded but it was close and seeing water running down the street less than a metre from our house [on a hill] made us re-think the feasibility of building the studios here.
The local shopkeepers are talking about re-opening in February 2010. It's heartbreaking.
The knock-on effects are all consuming. There have been many bridges closed and a couple of major bridges just washed away, one with a tragic fatality- a local policeman was warning others to stay off the main bridge in Workington when the river just took him and the bridge.
Building a studio now, here, is the wrong thing to do in more ways than one. I don't know what else to say.

I'd like to thank XSPACE, Rod G and others for some absolutely brilliant advice, a superb book [Build it like the Pros] and of course, John Sayers for this forum and his freely available knowledge.
Thank You.

Thank you Jan for letting me have a voice in your thinking :)
I live in an area that has hurricanes on a yearly basis. So while I do not know your pain personally I do know from where it can come.
You guys stand strong. I look forward to your continued progress.
Sincerely,
Brien
