nice project, great update :)
Thanks RO and Javier, glad you guys like it :)
there will be a pause for middle august days, a bit of playing around Italy (fortunately ehehe)
Keep you posted :D
I'm visiting Italy (Toscanini) next month, I love Italy :)
cheers
Oh great!
you mean Tuscany? or is there a town called Toscanini, like the composer? :D
eh, yeah Tuscany
Here's an update about hangers in the rear wall.
Kind of a pain in the butt to hang all those dudes :)
The fun part is that we used sort of a "stool" to stand them in place, tie them and then hang them loose kickin the stool away, like real hangmen ahahah
And the finished aircon ducting!
looks like the ship in the movie "Alien"! :D (ehrm if you skip lookin at the tomato sauce on the shelves)
We installed a machine that is suckin bad air from the room via a duct, sending conditioned air inside via another and blending to this fresh air taken from outside by a 20 percent via another small duct.
in the first pic you can see the corridor in the faundations where I'ìll be having my little "machine room" Computer and damn noisy digidesign 192's
Hangers are populair these days ;)
Nice work!
thanks Ro
I see a lot of debating actually, but I made them with a material called Celenit, approved by John
It's actually An insulating material, like cork, and heavier than homasote (I suppose)
It's done with very light wood chops and a bio cement. I had some spare, so I was happy to use it!
Hangers job is done!
What a big big pain relief!!!
And what a great job you did!
thanks mate, it was hard actually..
when are you off to tuscany?
september the 6th until the 20th.
Dunno if we'll visit Rome actually. If I do I'll hop by :) (and send my wife shopping, hahah)
Big update, lots of steps taken..
This is how the completed front wall looked, with a little setup for a test drive job
I did a mix job and the studio was already superb sounding..
John was right, the Genelecs 1031's are almost unrecognizable.
