Diffusers or absortion?

http://johnlsayers.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=11463 this is a build of my studio to be. Ceiling is going to be tilted from both ends upwards toward the middle. size is below 50m3. I would like to make this room not completely dead since that will tire my ear. My plan would be somehting along these lines: Diffuesers at back wall and at walls around listening position. and traps in between and clouds in the ceiling - well traps depending on accustic measurements after it is build. But the question here is: the room is fairly small and in order to make it sound a little larger shouldnt i put diffusers in? What are your thoughts on diffusers and smalle Controlrooms. Diffusors in small CR are not the best option. We've been discussing that on this board very often. I hope the search function will help you.
