here's a few more pics, The monitor boxes are fitted with chicken-wire ducts on top, also a plywood has been placed on the right wall to extend the angled wall to come in line with i'ts opposite wall on the left. The slats will extend on the plywood as well. Various holes have been drilled on it to allow the sound to move behind it freely.

I am so stealing this pattern for my live room Perforated panel absorbers. :D It looks cool.
Hey, all it's been some time since I've been here. Starting again with the build! I'll be posting pics real soon. I'm currently researching putty pads, does anyone know if they are a necessity for inside-out constructions? Or are they used only on constructions where the walls have holes for the electrical sockets? glad you like the plywood pattern rivernile! cheers
I'ts been some time since I posted any pics, so here they are! We finished the silencers, and now we are drilling the holes on the walls. Not having a demolition hammer powertool, we drilled a large amount of holes on the wall and chiselled our way through. cheers!

oooh nooo! there's a big hole in ye wall! :) Nice work, really!
nice work! Love the Pic updates!! :horse: :shot:
cheers! :D Got a question if somebody can answer it. I was wondering about moisture going into the silencers. Won't this cause mould problems in the future? Is there any way to avoid this? Thanks guys!
If you used proper Ductboard you should be alright. All Specs I checked out were explicitly treated against mold, mildew, fungus, and other microbial growth. Apart from that, installing a particle/dust filter in the input to the unit is always a good idea. Also adequate A/C and dehumidification in general to keep moisture levels down is recommended. Remember too that access to these units should be provided for cleaning the units internally occassionally.
Hi Brian and thanks for the feedback! The material used is a duct liner bought from a dealer that sells and makes ducting equipment. So I think the specs should be suitable. ( I did not get specs, but this material is used commonly here) Also there will be a filter on an external grill, and on the internal grill. And also there will be an a/c that will be used for dehumidifying the internal rooms. I have to admit that I did not think of creating access for the silencers to be cleaned in the future. I didn't think that this was necessary. I'm going to look this up more, so thank you for bringing this up. Cheers :)
Hello everyone, It's been a while since I've posted. Lots of things happened, priorities have changed. I have moved in the apartment-house that is above the basement-studio that I'm building. I've been working on this apartment for the past year and a half, and the work on it is finally done. I can now call it an official Recording & Rehearsal studio! :D :D :D The work that was done was not as complex as that of my basement build. This was due to budget and speed matters. The basement build will be finished in the near future and the studio name has changed which I'll announce soon. For now though it's music time! I have also build a shed and fence on the outside of the the apartment-house, of which I'll share some pics. Similar principles of the shed can be applied to a vocal booth as well  I'll also post some before shots of the apartment and will have a proper photo-shoot of the place soon to show you. Also.. here's also a video clip of our take on burn it down by linkin park  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6kpg4P9Y2HM&feature=plcp cheers! Iacovos Argyrides -vakis-

Thank you Stuart, that's awsome coming from you, cheers!
Hey Vakis, How was the studio been? Happy with the overall construction?
Hey Antonios, this is the rehearsal-recording space above the basement where the original build is waiting for funds for the build to continue. Overall I have made some good recordings in the space, but I would like to add a few more panels when I have the opportunity
