Studio design consultants

Hi, I am involved in the fit-out for a 5.1 surround mixing room (sound for picture) and a foley room. I am looking for a studio design consultant based in the uk, if possible, to specify suitable sound treatment for the two spaces. The spaces are for Glasgow School of Art and as they are currently tightening their belts we are looking for the best possible quote on this work (is there any other type of quote?) :wink: Please pass on any contact details and I will be in touch asap. Hi Ronan - One 2 One - For my two pennith' you chaps wont find anyone better in the U.K. than this guy. Very competitive price wise too. :wink: Peter Keeling, boss of the Studio People, based in Shrewsbury, so not too far from Manchester. He designed my facility. Thanks Lou, I will be getting in touch with Peter. That's one hell of a thread you have got going there, very informative! I was skimming through the pages and noticed the honeymoon pictures - I was like that looks familiar! My girlfriend and I went to Corfu about 4 years ago, hired the same type of red buggy from Moraitika (looks like the same hire place even) and drove around the island in it, it top was top fun! Munro Acoustics is a name that comes to my mind but they are quite expensive I think. You also have a bunch of consultants in this forum (me, gulfo, rod and of course John) so you might also contact them

Thanks andrebrito, I was looking at the cost's on www.studiopeople.com website and even with a Budget specification it is going to be out of our price range. They look like a fantastic company, a very professional finish, their portfolio is awesome and if we had that kind of budget it would be great to get it all done by one company. But it's not going to possible, for what we want it would cost about £100,000 with them, we have £20 to £30k for the build. I think I would like to pay towards a design service and do most of the work ourselves, slowly and tiresomely. I will contact yourself, gulfo, rod and or John to see if we can come to some kind of arrangement towards helping get the floor plan and design done with someone. Thanks
