You ordered the product before getting any responses, yet claim to be attempting to get the best value for the dollar? AndreI did read Rod's post but it was after I had the glue ordered.... ...I got a good deal on the Quiet Glue furthering the my attempt at getting the best value for the dollar.
2 Bedroom Studio. Sound Isolation input needed

I think this forum needs a seriousness meter for each new thread so people can keep their comments in the correct context. I am not building a professional studio. In fact my build budget has not even exceeded $500.
I would consider this forum a very good resource but that doesn't mean other forums or reviews are worthless. Call me a sucker but I think Quiet Glue is going to work and be appropriate for my studio. Despite the consensus among this board's moderators and uber posters, people have experienced good results with quiet glue and saved a few bucks over the green glue.
The isolation I already achieved with the first layer of 5/8" sheet rock is promising. I can have my guitar amp roaring and its quiet outside. I plan on posting pictures of the process and the finished product. At this point I am just looking for some help on what to do with the wall outlet I don't need.
If you are qualified to do these things, then I would remove it, if, as you say, it is no longer required. If you are not qualified, it is tricky to get with another person via message boards about these kinds of things. What is the best way to remove the outlet (prior to putting up my next layer of rock)? Can I disassemble it and use some wire nuts or would I best served to simply remove the wiring altogether?
Hi, I'm building a home studio at home and i use the BOX in the BOX system.

How many Karma's does it take to straighten your rod???
I'm amazed that the man himself "Rod G" goes to the effort of posting to this thread and his personal advice is ignored.
I don't think you realize what an honor it was for you to have Rod offer you advice? He very rarely posts.
If I had bought a product and a preeminent, World leader in a certain field suggested some other product you bet I would bin whatever I bought and do the suggested thing. Some people pay Rod $500 just for that piece of advice.
I hope it all works out the way you want.
Cheers
I must say I was/am unaware of the professional credentials maintained by some of the folks on this board. I am appreciative of all responses.
Construction is basically finished! I'll post lots of good pictures when I'm all done. The big news is that all of the sheet rocking is done. 2 layers of 5/8" everywhere! My friends and I were also able to use different patterns in order to eliminate common seems between each layer. Hopefully this helps a bit.
Applying the Quiet Glue was very easy. I used the recommended amount on every sheet. I am now entering the Tape/Mud/Paint phase which will take a while. After that I'll be adding a hardwood floor over the current concrete.
The control room is done... time to move in the gear!
Wow!!! I've read about green glue many many times in the past and being the person I am, just thought it was an 'Americanism' for sticky stuff between joints! How wrong I was. A quick google search for 'greenglue' brings up their web site and a wealth of information. What a great site; probably only 2nd to this one  Good to find this out before I start the build of my room in the summer. Greenglue here I come !!!
Good luck with the studio mate as well; am not mocking, but it's good to learn from research and others comments.
I have a new question pertaining to my project.
In the ceiling there is 1 heating/cooling vent which is obviously the week point in my isolation design. I feel that I am stuck with this as I can't just plug the hole. Are there any tips or tricks to dealing with this?
