Well thank you very much to all the guys who gave me a hand with my design!!. I´m glad to tell you that it has finally come to building it :D.
Some of the acoustic treatment will be added when the main thing is done, want to test it first before making the panels
So here are the pics for what I have at the moment:
Costa Rican studio (probably to be named "Bushido Studi

WOW, and, bloody hell, WOW!
Hi Valgaer, I remember you from the design forum this time last year!
Many congrats on the start of your build, what a great view, but please dude, I beg you, post some pics of what's holding that slab up so we don't all get heart trouble worrying!! I'm sure it's fine - calcs all approved etc, but those steels look real tiny in those pics buddy!
Kindest regards and best wishes,
Lou. 8)
Thank you very much Lou!!!, well yeah, everything´s aproved, will take some pictures today of that, also of the roof that they´re putting in place today :D
BTW, I´ve seen you´re interested in progressive metal ;) check out my band if you have some time www.myspace.com/timesforgottenband
Here they are:
holy crap, looks like giant project!
As a proglover, I checked ye link. Cool, some Andromeda like sounds... great keys!
Thanks Ro!, well it´s not big, really, dimensions are 6.4m long by 3.5m :D, but well, building on top of the garage can be a bit messy hehe
walls started!
Today´s progress:
New pics :D. A lot has happened!, almost done with the gybsum on the control room ready to seal the joints and by tomorrow or monday we should be done with the first gybsum layer on the studio :D, I´m so excited! hehehe
Good looking job, moving along nicely :)
The last three pictures look like no insulation was placed in the walls...?
oh yeah, it looks like that but they applied it later on today, on those pics they were just measuring the size of the boards
great band - I just watched the live "Tearing Me Apart" - excellent ;)
great keys mate - hope your studio works well for you all.
cheers
john
Oh thank you John!!! I´m really glad you liked it!. Actually my studio will be mainly for recording and producing my band´s stuff and other personal projects. Also to start producing some other bands, hope that turns out alright :D.
More updates tomorrow!
Just curious over here. People do a lot of things for a lot of reasons. Your room is up in the air, you live in Costa Rica, maybe things are different there :) I also listened to "tearing me apart", I kept thinking "John is hearing things...keyboard, yea right." Till it hit the bridge! Wow, I agree!oh yeah, it looks like that but they applied it later on today, on those pics they were just measuring the size of the boards
Looking great already Dude! :D
Love 'Contemplation' BTW!
Regards and best wishes for the future success of your build, and the band.

valgaer watching your layouts, i have a question:
Why aren't you placing the 1st of the rec room's door at the right side of the main entrance. Looks more logical & you'll have a triangular air lock & i suppose a better isolation between rooms. I hope it's clear enough.
Just a tought as i'm no expert. I hope John or others will comment on this.
It might be the difference between moving things in the room(s) and getting them out.
Thanks FPR :) , yeah it´s a difference when moving things in and out. Also there´s the thing that I can´t really isolate the door into the studio, because the placement of the stairs outside it on the house´s side, so I better placed the two doors together where I can isolete the studio from the CR properly :Dvalgaer watching your layouts, i have a question: Why aren't you placing the 1st of the rec room's door at the right side of the main entrance. erm, not sure i made myself understood. So here's a rough sketch of what i meanThanks FPR :) , yeah it´s a difference when moving things in and out. Thank you very much for your concern!!!
yeah I got it, probably couldn´t explain myself right in english  hehehe. So here it goes, the door that it´s not angled, the one on the large wall on the bottom there it´s very close to some stairs and the bathroom wall on the other side so it´ll have to be a sliding door made two smaller ones beacause of the space. Sliding doors of that kind are very difficult to isolate I tried to design something but it looked very ineficcient so I decided to put the doors into the studio angled and close together so I could at least isolate the studio from the CR properly, since the sound from the speakers coming inside the house is not much of a problem. In your design there will be just one door and a poorly isolated one to prevent the sound from the studio to come into the house
It's a pleasure to help you if i can. I understand that your sliding doors might let the sound pass to the house, but i don't think that with my design, the Rec room will be less isolated from the CR. As you will have 1st door + more important air gap + 2nd door. Also, your CR would be much more symetric. The bad side is that because of the sliding door, the sound from the rec room going to the house will be less isolated for sure. As you said that it doesn't matter, iguess it's not a big deal. Also, i presume that your CR will be more used than the Rec room. Voila , i promis to not bouther you with this anymore :D Good luck with the construction mate.Thank you very much for your concern!!! yeah I got it, probably couldn´t explain myself right in english  hehehe. hehehehe I see yoour point :D thank you very much for taking the time to help
Puedo preguntar que tipo de aislante (el Rosado de las fotos) estas utilizando, y si se puede conseguir en costa Rica?
Pura Vida,
Are you going to be floating the floors off the concrete as well?
What type of insulation are you adding to the walls? Can you find this in Costa Rica?
Cheers,
Actually I just realized that it looks like fiberglass. I was just curious cuz I actually used Mineral Fiber from Auralex that I got at Bansbach but it is way to expensive, fiberglass should do it specially since you are using double walls.
Cheers mate.
