Hai Steve, Nice to see yer building already. Oh, maybe you could post a link to your design-thread in your initial post here. Might be handy for cross-ref. Meanwhile, keep them pix coming and don't hesitate to ask if yer not certain about anything. Better have it checked twice than have it dun wrong once. cheers.

What kind of fabric are you installing in side the rooms? That is going to be inside out walls and helmholtz no? Nice looking start.
hi there yes h holz and inside out walls, im going to use Cara fabric, in 2 shades of blue to match the colours in the companys logo, i have a amazing price break on the fabric, what i do need to ask is about the low voltage lighting, the electrcian yesterday wlked me round and we plotted where and how many lights but my concern is is use telecasters a lot, and i use a lot of high gain on my guitar amps, and i wanted to avoid a problom i have had in the past where iget a rzzz thru the amp rig when the lights are on, how do i specify to him to buy the right components in the lighting circuit to avoid this? i also would ike to have dimmers on all the lighting. best steve
hi chaps here is a picture of the frame of the cieling in the control room, we also got the cieling frame in the live rom done yesterday steve

well friday came and went, today the guys finsihed the 2nd layer of plasterboard to the whole extiror of the studios rooms, and then they commend the layers of external plaster board to teh control room cieling, a bit tricky for them as i want to use as much of the avaiable hieght as i cn so there is not a great deal of space for there guys to work in, but they are doing it bless em. steve

Hi guys im really sorry that i have not been able to update or even post pictures on my build , I got involved in a legal case that is nothing really to do with me, but my Lap to and hard drivs were siezed by the police and even though i have been discharged from the matter , the police have still not managed to locate and return to me my laptop and harddrives, i cant tell you how inconvinet this has been. BUt on the upside , we got all the construction done with no real major probloms, apart from the electrricain mounted the 12 volt lights in to a ciling full of RW5 rock wool and i think it took abot 1 minete for the insulation to melt off the 12 volt cables, so we had to surfac mount the lighting. over hte last 3 days i have been testing a 10 kva UPS and power conditoner, as i deceided to run the whole studio from this clean power source, except for the lighting and HVAC, wihtthe 12 volt lighting i bought really nice bit toridial transformers and then had them mounted 25 feet away frot he control room so they reduce hum risk to my souped amp tele`s and amps, te big event yesterday was that i was hapy that the power was good and stable after the 3 day test, so i put my ATC scm 50`s into there pods and stands in the walls and without the frount baffles in place i ran them up, and i must say i am in love with them and the room, the stereo image is stunning, the detail and clarity is scary i wount be able to get away with amything ever again!!! gates and comps you can hear going aboutthere work, hums int he recordings headphone leakege all sort of things on tracks i have recorded int he past and commercially released records are all righ there in your face wagging a finger at yoour hooter. i ran a litle pink noise and set up the spectrum a in the listn positon and i have a bit of a dip at about 80 hz up to about 190 hz, but apart for that, its pretty lovely to lok at , im wondering if this dip is to do with my baffles not being in place yet and also i am running the room at themmonet with out the finsihed panals in positon o f course that has a big effect, but so far very encoraging. hope to post some pictures up as soon as the cops get there arses into gear. steeve
