John, just had a question about the layout of your control rooms. I see from my image and others you seem to have the sweet spot in the center of the room, is that due to room angles?
I was wanting to move my console and mix area forward to make room a couch and rack behind the mix position and notices how the room reflections would be different in the latest layout you did. Would that cause a big need to rework the angles?

Hey Carl, in the room everyone worked on that John put the finishing touches on for me that I built, the sweet spot is about 5' from the front wall. I have a narrower room too. so the angle of the speakers play into that as well.
Also I sit about 4-5" Inside the sweet spot when mixing. (or my head is place about 4-6" from the point at which the sound from both speakers converge.)
My room is 13' deep from stem to stern.
So to shorten the depth of the sweet spot, you need to play with the speaker soffit angles.
