We are operating a production facility (amongst other things) in Kabul Afghanistan (hopefully the profile tells you this). With the limitations here, we are effectively operating out of domestic houses that are somehow converted to studios etc. This means low walls, bad layout etc.
What we are looking to do:
> use a bedroom for a voice over or dubbing iso room (if i have the term right)
> up to 5 people in the room wearing headphones, single mic
> control room is not really an issue
> the room is roughly 360cm (d) x 350cm (w) x 250cm (h)
> we can not knock down walls etc
> the building is made of brick walls and concrete ceiling/roof
> the room is on second floor
> neighbours not a problem (and recording voice anyway)
> some outside noise, but mostly from others in the building walking around
> building codes not really an issue
What we need:
> some ideas on what kind of room we should have (i have been goign through the forum for the last few days and my understanding is that it should be dead for voice)
> ideas on how to acheive the above
> we are currently looking at just hangling carpet aroudn the place as a solution - but i am sure there is something better!
What we have available:
> split systems for air con
> timber
> fibreglass insulation (bats type)
> cloth
> basic building materials
Budget - we dont' really have one, but we are pretty flexible. We have our own 'builders' so thats not an issue, and materials are not hugely expensive here unless its somethign that needs to be flown in.
I hope i have provided enough info - feel free to let me know if i have missed anything. I have tried to do a SKP file below. Hopefully it works.

Jamin
