from memory - we used to place a 1 amp fuse in the line but I'm sure Thomas will have a solution.

cheers

I blew the tweeters in my KRK's once by stupidly pushing the wrong button, and the KRK engineer said that the reason they didn't fuse their tweeters was purity of sound - he also said that not too many people could tell the difference. He told me what size fuse to try, I did, and couldn't tell any difference whatever. (possibly due to bad acoustics, wouldn't doubt it) - anyway, been listening to fuses ever since that time, and no complaints. (I've not pushed that button at the wrong time since then...) Steve
Soooo, when a Musician dies, do they hear the white noise at the end of the tunnel??!? Hmmmm...

now considering that the wire of the winding of tweeter is of 0.10 I do not believe that a fuse of 1A cuts in the case of arriving but current because I think that the wire that takes the fuse it would have to be but fine so that this of results

I'm sure Barefoot will have your answer (PM him he doesn't get to reply) but as I remember it we used a 1.5amp fastblow fuse.

cheers

A 1.5A fuse in line with the tweeter sounds right. This would allow up to about 20W of power dissipation in the tweeter before the fuse blows. The series resistance of a fuse increases with increasing current, creating dynamic compression. This certainly isn't ideal, but I guess it's a reasonable compromise if you're continuously burning out tweeters.

Another alternative is to modify the crossover as shown here: http://www.dillonacoustics.com/Loudspea ... _XOYA1.htm However, this will significantly change the sound character of your NS10s. In fact, it will make them more accurate - which you may or may not want. And since you get rid of the response peak in the lower frequency range of the tweeter, you will improve its power handling.

You might consider adding both the fuse and the crossover modification. Combined with the crossover modification you might be able to get away with using larger fuse like 2A.
