control room layout

Post by telefunken »

this is a rough drawing of my proposed control room for my basement studio. the room dimensions are roughly 10w x 13l x 8h

i have a few questions.

1. the walls in the front are at angles of 6 degrees, is this ok?

2. should i go hard or soft on the floor?

3. should i angle the back of the room or leave it straight?

4. in regards to the control room window, how important is having it on an angle? would i be ok with a straight window?

also any critique and/or potential problems with my layout, please let me know! thanks

take a look at the control I am finishing up. The size is real close to yours.

Bryan Giles.

I Have successfully fit over 6 people including myself in this room, with an equipment rack and 88 key controller.

The acoustics are GREAT!!!!
