Some low budget ideas and questions...

Post by JTZ »

Hi everybody, first I want to apologize for my english... I hope you can understand me. I was thinking about making some hi freq. absorbers.
the idea is to buy some polyuretane foam (that thing inside your pillow)
cut in small pieces, a board of the same thing and some glue...
I´ll spread some glue over the board, spread some pieces of "the thing inside your pillow" and voila.... add some spray paint salt and pepper...
do you think this monster have some future? or maybe it´s just a good pillow?
if it works I'll upload some pics of my project studio, if not, I´ll upload some pics of mi bed...
anyway I'll have fun.
please leave some comments. Bye

Hi, and welcome; most polyurethane is closed cell, so doesn't do much of anything for acoustics. This is why all you see used here is either the commercial acoustic foam (it's open-celled) or dense fiber insulation, either mineral wool or fiberglass. Might wanna check out some of the DIY projects that have been added, see the sticky above... Steve
Soooo, when a Musician dies, do they hear the white noise at the end of the tunnel??!? Hmmmm...
