I have some leftover Roxul Flexibatt (r-21.5). Are there any known absorption coefficients posted anywhere? I was considering using the leftovers for superchunk style corner traps. Would this be adequate, or should I go for OC 703? Thanks,
C

Some user may know better about this but i think the 3pcf (pound per cubic foot) stuff is recomended for that application (Roxul AFB is 2.8pcf and safe'n sound is 2.5pcf). Flexibatt is more or less the equivalent of fiberglass in term of densitiy wich is less or around 2pcf.

That maybe an alternative for you.I think I'd use that rear corner as a good place to store a MASSIVE amount of mineral wool (like a super-mega-uber-chunk) - in other words, fill the entire thing. IF this will be cost prohibitive, then at least line the walls and across the face with minimum 4" RW, and fill the rest with unfaced loose fiberglass.
