building a studio mixing desk

does anyone happen to have any decent plans for building a studio mixing desk? i not too bad with a hammer, and nails, and would rather try myself than to go broke buying a piece of furniture!!

Heres the desk I designed and built for my studio. Nothing complicated about it really, just timber and MDF.

Let me know if you've had any luck finding plans to build a custom recording desk. I'm looking for a desk design for my AW4416.

One of the most important things when designing it...if you're using rack rail, make sure you have it in hand first. Different MFG's, vendors, it can vary widely on the width of the rail.
Also, use a pocket jig to assemble the large pieces.
