How thick should my walls be, should I float my floors (and if so, how), why is two leaf mass-air-mass design important, etc.

does anyone happen to have any decent plans for building a studio mixing desk? i not too bad with a hammer, and nails, and would rather try myself than to go broke buying a piece of furniture!!

Heres the desk I designed and built for my studio. Nothing complicated about it really, just timber and MDF.

One of the most important things when designing it...if you're using rack rail, make sure you have it in hand first. Different MFG's, vendors, it can vary widely on the width of the rail.

Also, use a pocket jig to assemble the large pieces.
