I have a post here... http://www.johnlsayers.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=5527
Everything is going well I just have a question about the slatwalls....Is is it ok to have hanger traps in the cavity of the slatwall?I have a bit of space in there and from listening to the room I'm pretty sure I'm going to need all the bass trapping I can get.
I will be putting hanger traps under the stairs as John suggested as well.
Thanks,
Chris

Slatwall is another word for Helmholtz trap - the formula is based on 48 kG/m^3 rigid fiberglass insulation by Owens Corning, and the results will change unpredictably if you change the basics.
If you're just putting wide-spaced slats over a corner absorber, then sure; if you're actually tuning for a specific frequency (like your 2:1:1 room ratios) then I'd stick to ONE type of trap... Steve
