Does anyone have any advice for buying fabric for some broadband panels? is the Guilford stuff a must? i went to a local fabric place today and was overwhelmed and didn't even really know what i was looking for. i did a search but didn't find anything.

You can use lightweight Muslin or open weave burlap - either will work fine and are much less expensive than Guilford. Neither is recommended for in front of speakers but in front of treatments is fine.
If you get a cheaper cloth like this, plan on getting a wash in or spray on fire retardant. Anything attached to the walls should be fire retardant.
GOM is Class A fire rated already.
