placement of studio monitors

hi i have a 12 by 12 room with a slanted roof. i am just wondering where the best place i should put my setup is. The lower side of the roof is about 8 feet high,and the high side of the roof is about 10 feet high.

Given the lack of other information (doors, windows, etc) I think the general wisdom here is that you want the low end in front of you so that the ceiling slopes up.

I think the 12x12 (i.e., square) dimensions of the room may prove to be a bigger problem.
