What would you do with this room...PICs-:)

Hi, guys! :)

I'm in a need of serious help. What would you do to this kind of room to get better acoustics?

Budget: Well, it depends...I've been planning to spend about 1000EUR...is it possible to do with that money?

The room is located in the cellar. Here are the room Dimensions:

Width: 3,7 m
Lenght: 4,1 m
Height: 2,5 m

Here are some pics of the room: (the brown table will be replaced by black sofa)

1.) How about these: http://www.advancedacoustics.tk/ I think they look cool. Does anyone have these? What if I decide to buy these, how much do I need to put them on my room? If I have understood right, I think I need to make the front of the room almost dead and the back of the room live with diffusers, right? How about the ceiling? And I need bass traps for the corners? For all of them, front and back? I'm having a problem with one corner, where's the door is located...what should I do? The trap doesn't fit there...

2.) How about the Prima-acoustic sets? http://www.primacoustic.com/ For example, London 15...

3.) What can I do with the window? I think I need to hide it if I want to put acoustic foam on it...

4.) What do you recommend for the back of the room? I have those my CDs now there...do they act like a diffusor or...? Would it be a good idea get more CDs to that back wall or do I need to buy some diffuser (or do it by myself)?

Thanks for your help! Can't wait to hear your opinions.

Pete,

There's a huge amount of info in the various posts here and at the SAE site often linked here. My Acoustics FAQ will also give you a good overview of what's needed:

www.ethanwiner.com/acoustics.html

Here's the short version of how to treat a room:

* Broadband (not tuned) bass traps in as many corners as you can manage, including the wall-ceiling corners.

* Mid/high frequency absorption at the first reflection points on the side walls and ceiling.

* Some additional amount of mid/high absorption on any large areas of bare parallel surfaces, such as opposing walls or the ceiling if the floor is reflective.
