I never like to throw away any of the boxes my outboard stuff comes in. So I was thinking, if I filled each box with insulation and stacked them up in 2 corners, would I have myself a bass trap that reflects the high frequencies?
Would this be a good idea for the back two corners of my control room?
a cheap and non-permanent idea? granted, it won't be pretty.
cheap bass trap idea...any good?

Not a good plan; using a box will be like using FRK type insulation, but with the foil on BOTH sides of the absorber. Store your boxes somewhere else and use tried and true methods for corner traps, and you'll be much happier... Steve

Get 2 by 2inch pine board (like 2-3$ for 8 feet) and cut yourself a square box nail, glue it together and get burlap fabric from walmart (2.44 a s/meter i think) and stretch it over your frame, staple it, stuff with 703, rockwool or w/e and set it. They look really nice and cost ya a fraction of anything else.
