Hey, i was wondering if some ideas can be given to me about how i can control the reverb, echos, and high freq's in my basement (mainly just involving recording the drumset cause i Direct Input the other instruments)....so possibly anything that can go around the drums that would help?
.... i enclosed a layout with the dimensions of my basement and links to a few actual pictures of the basement.....by the way, the ceilings are 7' high, but some spots a little lower do to air-ducts that are in the ceiling... i have a few auralex absorbers randomly placed out, not doing much though.....
also, the floors are vinyl tiling with 2 area carpets.... any advice or procedures i can do would be appreciated, hopefully nothing permanent though, like movable solutions would be ideal...thanks
i think i covered most of the critera....oh, budget...under 1,000 would be nice, but i don't like to do stuff half-assed so ..whatever fits the job i suppose
heres the layout, followed by pictures..

You need to resize your photographs so that they're in compliance with the "700 pixel maximum width" rule.

Wow, what's the ceiling height there? Is it less than 7 feet?
Odds are a good chunk of your problems stem from the ceiling reflection. You can make panels out of rockwool and some kind of backing material (maybe pegboard, something that will let you wrap it with fabric and hang it easily). Place those above the drums for sure, and then place some on the walls where the flutter echoes seem worst.
The good news is that flutter echoes are an easy problem to solve using insulation.
Cheers,
Kris
