Commercial Space Studio Ceiling...

Post by LiveWire »

Looking for the best look (vibe) which is VERY important in this space and performance.

Currently the space isn't 100% built and they are built to suite so things are in the air.

So i guess these are the options.
Drop ceiling with treatments

or any suggestions would be great.

I am going to see the space this week
but my client is looking @ having a killer vibe and a decent sounding production space. I get lost with ceilings any help would be great. Thanks

Forget the drop ceiling - for what it ill do you can do better with less cost.

You've got various options dependent on your acoustic need.

what are they??

like is the room too live or too dead etc etc. sound gets out/in

cheers

John,

I am flying out to look @ the space tomorrow I will let you know more. I don't think the room is going to have isolation issues. But a fair amount of deading I think will be in order.

I wasn't for the drop ceiling, but if we didn't choose something else I think that's what they would go ahead and do.

Whatever it would be panels, etc... I would need to make them removable if access was ever needed. I will know a whole lot more by the end of the week, and would love to get your advice.

Thanks
Dave
