Hi, my first rehearsal room is finished. its sizes are 6,5 x 3,1 x 2,5 meters. The floor is still not made. The walls are RENDERED with gypsium and ceilings are PLASTER BOARDS. Reverb time are so long now. I'm thinking of build 3 CORNER TRAPS with fabric cover. the 4th corner have no space because the door is there.
1.- This is a good way??
Or reverb time will be the same??
Doing the corners will help somewhat as they'll be broadband absorbers. However, it's unlikely that it will be enough to significantly help with your RT60. Carpeting one wall will help some but only at high frequencies - you'll still have issues in the rest of the range.
You're better off to make some panels with rockwool or rigid fiberglass spaced off the wall by various amounts and spread around the room. This is the most effective way to control reverb time.
If you're in the control room, make sure your seat is reflection free.
