Small Control room for Bosnien Gara Music :-)

Post by djoki »

Hi folks..
first...
i'm impressed of all this knowledge in this Forum and ihope you can help me to bring a good Acoustic in to my Room.

i'm a newbee to Acoustics and i hope that I don't have to become a professinal :D
What i mean is... just tell me what to do so that I can make music.

it's a garage...no window....gypsom board all over...only the floor is gonna be of Laminat ( Wood fake) or plywood (maybe there is a better idea ..is not finished yet)

width 260 cm
length 360 cm
height 200 cm

It should be a Controlroom.. it's important that i can hear my mix clearly

I want to put the boxes at 260 cm Wall

What's the Problem?
What can i do?
Or is it Useless to think about ...because of the small room size?

Help...i meed sombody
Help.... oh just anybody

HEEEEEELP

(The Beatles) :D

Thanks

p.s.:please keep your answer simpel because my english is ....

Hi Djoki,
can you be more specific about your wall and ceiling construction (inside and outside). Tell us how much isolation you need from your neighbours/parrents/partner   .
Maybe update your profile to include location so we know roughly what materials are available to you. what you would call them etc. etc
Kind regards

Hi the isolation to my neighbours and my partner is ok. i tested it with my JVC BOOMBOX 8) You know!

Here the informations
The garage is build out of light concret I don't know the english name but it's a bit harder than gas concrete walls.... not very massive Matirial

Thickness maybe 15-20 cm.

I stonwalled one wall out of sand-lime brick with two doors

It looks like in this pictures only without the second room.
I thought about to realise a vocal room but everything seemd to be to small. So i canceled it. So I realized only one room don't forget when you look at this pictures.

klick on"GMX MEDIACENTER STARTEN"
When you klick on the pic's it takes a few seconds till it's loaded.

http://service.gmx.net/mc/qPC8fUxoADqzL ... BbvjjhnrNp

Inside a made a metal-construction.. thickness 5 cm...Out of Gypsom (12,5) mm boards and Rockwool (cieling to).

In the cieling i have 6 Halogen lamps :D .

And that's it.

My neighbours don't hear me because there is a garden between the Garage and the dwelling house.

I won't to by my self the Genelac 1031 or 1032 Monitor boxes.

Is this enough information?

Oh ...my Location ist Hamburg in Germany

Hey Djoki,
sounds like you're ok with the isolation. That's a great start, in fact, more than just a start.I would just recommend starting with some basic treatment in your room, which you should find a whole lot of on this site. Have a look here:
http://www.johnlsayers.com/HR/index1.htm
Very easy to build and that'll get you 70-80 percent there (or 100% depending on your room, setup, monitoring etc, etc).

let us know how you go when you sus these out.
P.S. Jesi ti Bosanac :)

Jesam ... ...otkud ti u ovoj pustinji...He He

Odakle si ti?

I saw the pictures that you posted before and i asked my self if it is really necesarry to put all this Absorbers in the room?

It takes a lot of space... :?

And the problem is that in one (Back) corner i have a door and in the second back corner i want to put my rhodes.

Wich Calcultion tool for reverb should i use I heard that the Sae Calculator is not workink correct?

Do i have to bring all Frequences down on 0,5 rereverbtime?

i read the Faq's and all the nice things...the isolition wasn't to complicated but the acoustic thing i don't even understand.

Joj zemo.... ova thema me jebe...nemas pojma....
