studio construction

i am new to the field of construction so i came here for help.. i am building a new recording studio from scratch it gonna be concrete throught out the entire building but what what i want to know is how do i float the control room, with a room within a room theory? where do u start from just a empty concrete room 18*18 and can you post some pics of past construton on this site? thanks a ton.

Your post seems to imply that you are quite new a thtis studio construction thing. A string suggestion: read Paul's studio buils diary completley t get an idea of what is involved to make it very properly and what is involved. Paul's Diary

Do a search here with "concrete", "floating", and "floor" and you will have a wealth of infomation.

Do you need a floating floor? It is not cheap and has acoustic negatives if not designed and built properly.

It would help in future if you included your space's third dimension, the height.

In addition to Andre's suggestions, pix from members' studio builds are found by clicking the John Sayers Productions logo at top left of the page - there is also a lot of info in the REFERENCE section in this Construction forum... Steve
