Hey guys, I wish I was aware of the forum during my studio build! Anyways, im here now and excited to hear from different people.
I have a small isolation room where I have been tracking guitars successfully but im hoping to start tracking some really tight drums in this room in the near future. At the moment it is still very lively but im hoping to get a nice tight drums sound but isnt lifeless.
My thought is to put up some 2" 703 on the larger walls and cover with fabric and then maybe put some softwood siding on the smaller walls. Unsure how I should go about treating the ceiling which is just under 8' (7'10").
Any suggestions?

Re: Small room treatment suggestions
This is how I'd treat the room - The angled walls are timber slots, the other walls are filled with insulation between the studs, covered with plastic and then cloth finish.
I'd frame out the ceiling with similar treatment as the large walls.

Wow, John! Thank you for this illustration. And im assuming framing is with standard 2x4s? Obviously ill be losing a little of the footprint but still enough for a small kit setup.
Here are a couple pictures of the actual space.

I'd use 3 x 2s to frame it out.
