Studio Doors

How thick should my walls be, should I float my floors (and if so, how), why is two leaf mass-air-mass design important, etc.

Studio Doors

Post by diamondj421 »

Greetings,
My studio walls are up so I've come to doors. I've been looking at the 770A and 870A by ZERO but recently my uncle recommended looking into McMaster-Carr where I found very similar parts for a fraction of the price of the ZERO systems. They also sell a non-adjustable seal for even less, which could work as I feel that it's an unnecessary feature for me. Can anyone tell me whether or not the extra dough is worth the difference? I'll attach links to each product.

ZERO seal system: http://www.zerointernational.com/catalo ... ?pageID=21
McMaster Adjustable: https://www.mcmaster.com/#standard-door ... g/=1a8core
McMaster-Carr Non-Adjustable: https://www.mcmaster.com/#standard-door ... g/=1a8cnda

Thanks in advance.
Jeff
