HVAC baffle lining

How thick should my walls be, should I float my floors (and if so, how), why is two leaf mass-air-mass design important, etc.

HVAC baffle lining

Post by DavidC77 »

Hi Guys

I'm sourcing the 25mm lining for my HVAC baffles, and checking prices.

From what I've found, this seems to be most appropriate so far;

Any other locally available (Australia) options that others would recommend?

Thanks

Are you certain that this stuff is meant for lining the INTERIOR of ducts? One of my customers in Australia inadvertently bought duct liner meant for the EXTERIOR face of ducts only, and didn't realize until I questioned some photos he sent me, of his silencer boxes under construction.... What you are showing there might be OK, but the link did not specifically state that it can be used inside ducts. Better check with the manufacturer.

Thanks Stuart

Almost certain this is for internal application, but strangely nowhere does it seem to say explicitly. I assumed it was, as on the fact sheets the different facings available correspond with flow rate capabilities, but point well taken - I'll shoot the manufacturers an email.

Another one I found locally available was this;

If anyone has any experience with either, or others, I would love to hear about it.

Thanks
