solderless wall plates? good or no good?
Looking into purchasing solderless wall plates for my studio. I was wondering if anyone has had any problems with them and is there a difference between the wall plates you solder? Thank you Also does anyone have any ideas for alternatives to using wall plates.

well, it doesn't look as clean, but there's always the snake option. I've seen several studios that went that route rather than using a wall plate. Just ran a snake through the wall between the control room and the studio (with a 90 degree bend and insulation stuffed in and with PVC tubing as close to the size of the snake as possible) then simply plugging into the snake rather than a wall plate.

Thank you very much i did pick up a 16x8 snake for the live room and a 8x4 snake for the iso booth. I ran 2 inch pvc pipe thru the walls at an angle and will be stuffing them with insulation.
