How thick should my walls be, should I float my floors (and if so, how), why is two leaf mass-air-mass design important, etc.

Hanger trap insulation question

Post by profwacko »

The plans for the hanger traps calls for 1" insulation.

I cannot (yet) find 1" Roxul which I would very much like to use for my hangers.

What kind of insulation is being used for this purpose?

Try 1" OC-703, or even OC-701. Failing that, even 1" of plain old "pink fluffy" will do the job.

But 2" of any of the above would be better, if you can fit that in...
